The Court made the following: ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 5th respondent in not registering the crime in respect of the inhumane incident that took place, against the petitioner, in the police station on 02.05.2020 between 9 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. basing on the petitioner's complaint dated3.5.2020 and the further action of the respondents 2 to 3 in not taking action on the petitioner's complaint dated 5.5.2020 against the respondents 6 to 8 as illegal, arbitrary, violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and contrary to the provisions of Code of Criminal Procedure and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate disciplinary action on the petitioner's complaint dated 5.5.2020 against the respondents 6 to 8.”

Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that, based on the complaint lodged by Respondent No.6, the Petitioner was called to the Police Station for preliminary enquiry. 3. Sri Kochiri Raja Sekhar, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Police beat the Petitioner. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the Petitioner to work out their remedies before appropriate forum in accordance with law. Police are directed to follow due process of law in respect of the crime, if any, registered against the Petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
