Jyotsna Rewal Dua , J Following order was passed in the matter on 21.06.2025: - “Notice. Mr. L.N. Sharma, learned Additional Advocate General, Mr. Prashant Sharma and Mr. Shubham Guleria, Advocate appearing vice Mr. Vikrant Thakur, learned counsel, accept service of notice on behalf of respondent No.1, respondent No. 2 and respondent No.3, respectively. 2. Petitioner’s case is that final result for the selection process initiated for filling up forty two posts of Junior Office Assistant 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 (JOA) (Accounts) was declared on 21.01.2025. Petitioner’s name has been placed at Sr. No.1 of the waiting list panel. Respondents have offered appointment to forty two candidates, however, two candidates did not appear for document verification and six candidates did not join. Hence, eight posts of JOA (Accounts) in different categories i.e. UR-03, ST-01, OBC-02 & EWS-02 are lying vacant as on date. Petitioner had applied under the Unreserved Category. Being at Sr. No.1 of the waiting list panel, he has right to offer appointment on account of non-joining of the selected candidates. 3. Petitioner’s grievance is that respondent No.2 has not taken any action as on date for calling fresh names from respondent No.3. 4. Learned counsel for respondent No.3 submits that fresh names can be sent only in case request is so made by respondent No.2. Let the needful be done by the respondents by the next date of hearing. List on 08.07.2025, when reply/ instructions shall be filed by the respondents. CMP No. 13903 of 2025 Disposed of as not pressed at this stage.” 2. Pursuant thereto, learned counsel for respondent No.2 has placed on record office instructions dated 07.07.2025 and on that basis submitted that on 05.07.2025, the petitioner has been informed about his name having been recommended by respondent No.3 vide letter dated 04.07.2025 for recruitment to the post of Junior Office Assistant (Accounts) from the waiting list panel, in respondent No.2- Corporation, subject to verification of the credential, genuineness of 3 the certificates/degrees etc. That the verification of the documents is to be carried out at Head Office of respondent No.2 till 10.07.2025. 3. The above position has been admitted by learned counsel for respondent No.3, who, also has placed on record office instructions dated 08.07.2025 from the Secretary H.P. Public Service Commission. 4. Since name of the petitioner has now been recommended by respondent No.3 for the post in question and his documents verification is to be carried out by respondent No.2 till 10.07.2025, the grievance of the petitioner raised in this writ petition stands redressed.
