GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: 2 ORDER:- Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the 3rd respondent has completed the investigation on 20.07.2023. The petitioner’s father is a GPA holder, and the petitioner is residing in the U.K. It is submitted that the petitioner’s father was not called to the police station; however, the police concluded the investigation and closed it as civil in nature vide proceedings dated 07.04.2025. It is further submitted that the police did not even call the petitioner’s father to the police station during the course of investigation. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that the police have conducted a preliminary investigation and closed the case. It is further submitted that written instructions were received from the Inspector of Police, Bheemunipatnam Police Station, Visakhapatnam City. Even as per the instructions, it is revealed that the 4th respondent called for certain documents from the Tahsildar, Bheemunipatnam, and based on the documents received from the office of the Tahsildar, concluded that the issue is civil in nature. Without recording the statements of the parties concerned, the attempt of the 4th respondent in arriving at a conclusion and closing the complaint of the petitioner without conducting a proper investigation is detrimental to the petitioner’s right. 3 4. On these grounds, there shall be a direction to the 4th respondent to conduct a proper investigation on the complaint of the petitioner. The proceedings dated 07.04.2025 are hereby set aside. 5.
