2025:JHHC:21255 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI W.P.(C) No. 3467 of 2025 Mokim Ansari ….. Petitioner Versus 1. The State of Jharkhand 2. The Deputy Commissioner, Dhanbad 3. Sinha For the Respondents: Mr. Ranjan Kumar, A.C to Sr. S.C-I ----- 02/31.07.2025 The grievance of the petitioner as raised in the present writ petition is that a wrong entry of the area of his land appertaining to New Khata No. 407, Plot No. 2838, Mouza-Kola Kusma, Mouza No. 407, P.S. No. 92, District-Dhanbad as well as of the name of his grandfather and of his caste has been made in the online Register-II. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the online Register-II, the area of the said land has wrongly been mentioned as ‘3.87 Decimals’ instead of ‘7 Decimals’. Moreover, instead of mentioning the name of the petitioner’s grandfather i.e. ‘Habi Miyan’, the word ‘unknown’ has wrongly been mentioned and also instead of mentioning the actual caste of the petitioner i.e. ‘Momin’, the caste ‘Kasai’ has wrongly been mentioned in the same. The petitioner represented the respondent No.3 seeking the aforesaid correction in the online Register-II on 15.03.2023 (Annexure-3 to the writ petition), however, the same has not yet been responded by the said respondent, which has compelled the petitioner to prefer the present writ petition. 3. Mr. Ranjan Kumar, learned A.C to Sr. S.C-I appearing on behalf of the respondents, submits that if the petitioner prefers a fresh representation in this regard before the respondent No.3, an appropriate decision/step will be taken by the said respondent within a time frame. 2025:JHHC:21255 4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and keeping in view the nature of the prayer made in the present writ petition, without entering into the merit of the case, the petitioner is given liberty to prefer a fresh representation seeking the aforesaid correction in the online Register-II before the respondent No.3. On receipt of the said representation, the respondent No.3, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and on verifying the relevant records, shall take an appropriate decision/step in accordance with law within eight weeks from the date of filing of the said representation. 5. The present writ petition is accordingly disposed of with the aforesaid liberty and direction. Satish/- (RAJESH SHANKAR, J)
