Bharat, Advocate General assisted by Mr. Shashank Thakur, Deputy Advocate General, is present and drawn the attention of the Court to the prayers made in the present PIL, which are as follows:- “a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction commanding the Respondents to ensure that the investigation in FIR No. registered in the police station of Durg is completed within a stipulated time frame of code and the charge sheet is filed under Section 173 of CrPC without further delay. b) Direct the Respondents to place the matter before a designated Fast-Track Special Court under the POCSO Act, 2012, and ensure that the trial is conducted on a day-to-day basis, concluding within two months from the date of filing of the charge sheet, in strict compliance with Section 309 CrPC and Section 35 of POCSO Act. c) Issue directions to the State Government (Respondent No. 1) to provide immediate financial compensation of (e.g., Rs. 10 lakhs to the victim's family under the Victim Compensation Scheme (Section 357A CrPC), along with free psychological counselling and rehabilitation support for a period of at least two years. d) Direct the formation of an independent committee, headed by a retired judicial 3 officer, to investigate any lapses, negligence, or delays by the police or administrative authorities in handling the case, and to submit a report to this Hon'ble Court within [e.g., 30 days]. e) Issue guidelines to the State of Chhattisgarh for the establishment of a dedicated monitoring mechanism to ensure compliance with timelines under the POCSO Act and CrPC in all cases of child sexual abuse, thereby recurrence of such failures. Preventing recurrence of such failures. f) Pass any other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice, equity, and good conscience.” 3. It has been informed by learned Advocate General that the incident which has taken place is a unfortunate one and the FIR has been lodged by family members of the victim and the accused is the uncle of the victim. It has been further informed that the accused has already been arrested in the said case. 4. As there is no one present to argue the matter when the same is called out for hearing, the present petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
