Heard the petitioner, appearing in person, learned counsel for the respondent as well as learned State Counsel and perused the record. 2. The petitioner, appearing in person, submits that he is willing to take electricity connection from the transformer that is already existing. He submits that he is willing to submit Rs. 40,000 plus any additional cost that may be required for bringing the line from the transformer to his house. 3. In light of the submissions made, the Electricity Department is directed to provide electricity connection to the petitioner within seven days of the petitioner making payment of the above sum as indicated. 4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. 5. The petitioner further submits that he is going through extreme financial exigencies and is unable to make payment of the entire amount and he prays that the payment will be made by him in two installments. 6. In the light of the submissions made, the first payment of Rs. 20,000/- may be made by the petitioner immediately and the second payment may be added to the first electricity bill of the petitioner by the Department.
