Earlier, report of compliance was submitted before this Court. I have perused the compliance report submitted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Division, Howrah and I find that two FIR(s) have been registered against the organizers of the rally. Be that as it may, since the
procession as well as the gathering of the people which was held on 06.04.2025 has been over long ago, at this stage, I grant liberty to the petitioners who are the organizers, if they have been named in the FIR(s), to challenge the proceedings if the initiation and/or continuation of the proceedings, according to them, are in violations of the provisions of law. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 7511 of 2025 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. State is directed to hand over a copy of the report to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioners.
Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
