Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Advocate for respondents no.1 to 3, and Sri Nadeem Murtaza, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.4. 2. Instant petition has been filed praying for quashing of the first information report no.0186 of 2024, under Sections 498A, 323, 504, 506 IPC, 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, lodged at Police Station Saadatganj, District Lucknow. 3. Upon filing of the petition, it was contended that there is every likelihood between the petitioners and respondent no.4 of settling the dispute amicably in case the matter is referred to the Mediation Center of this Court. 4. This Court vide order dated 27.03.2025 has referred the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court. 5. In pursuance to the order of this Court dated 27.03.2025 the Mediation Center of this Court has submitted its report dated 13.10.2025 enclosing therewith the settlement agreement dated 13.10.2025. 6. As per the said report, the petitioners and respondent no.4 have agreed to end the dispute between themselves amicably. In para 6F of the said settlement, the parties have agreed that they will have no objection if this Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Syed Husain Abbas, Irshad Ali, Rohit Yadav Counsel for Respondent(s) : G.A., Nadeem Murtaza Dr. Faheem Haider And Others .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Home Lko. And Others .....Respondent(s) Court decides the instant petition and quashes the FIR No.0186 of 2024 in terms of the settlement. 7. Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is allowed. 8. The First information report no.0186 of 2024, under Sections 498A, 323, 504, 506 IPC, 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, lodged at Police Station Saadatganj, District Lucknow are quashed.
