The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the following prayer:- "a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the District Magistrate/ Prescribed Authority, Distict-Gorakhpur (Respondent no. 2) to remove the notice board of "Ceilling Land Government Property by permission of District Magistrate, Gorakhpur" which has been installed over the purchased land of petitioner." 2. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that the relief sought by the petitioner in the present writ petition, a representation has already been submitted by him before the respondent No.2/District Magistrate/Prescribed Authority, District- Gorkahpur on 02.09.2023, copy of which is appended as Annexure No.8 to the writ petition. On the said representation orders were passed and respondent no. 2 by noting dated 5.9.2023 directed the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sadar Gorakhpur and Tehsildar Sadar to submit report after investigating the matter in accordance with law. 3. It is further argued that the matter is pending before respondent no. 2 and a considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no final decision has been taken in the matter. 4. On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondents that the respondent No.2 will take a decision in the matter expeditiously. 5. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 6. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2/District Magistrate/Prescribed Authority, Gorakhpur to take a decision on the representation dated 2.9.2023 most expeditiously and preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
