1. This is an office reference.

This Court, vide order dated 27.03.2023, passed in MCRC No. 183 of 2024, while rejecting the bail application of the applicant, namely, Rajesh Thakur had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of filing of the charge-sheet in accordance with law, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier this Court vide order dated 18.04.2024 in CRMP No.911 of 2024 had rejected to request to grant extension of time with liberty to make another request at the appropriate time.
4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act) Raipur, District- Raipur, (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 04.02.2025 has requested for grant of time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, the statements of three witnesses have already been recorded, but the statements of 10 witnesses are yet to be recorded which may take some time. Hence, the conclusion of the trial may take some time.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. -
