JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Rajesh Ranjan Srivastav, Advocate For the State : Mr. B. N. Ojha, Spl.P.P. --- 02/01.08.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 110/2024 (N.D.P.S. Case No.11 of 2024), for the offences registered under Sections 21(a) & 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, West Singhbhum at Chaibasa. Bail Application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.10683 of 2024 by order dated 13.02.2025. On 24.07.2024 at about 10:30 A.M., Chaibasa Muffasil police apprehended this petitioner along with co-accused person. On search, 15 grams of brown sugar was recovered from their joint possession. It was submitted that the quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was further submitted that petitioner is in custody for more than a year. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that petitioner has got criminal antecedent. Considering the period of custody, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, West Singhbhum at Chaibasa, in connection with Muffasil P.S.
