The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submitted that in view of the order passed today by this Court in WP(C) No. 713 of 2023, the petitioner will not press prayer Nos. 1 & 2 made in the present writ petition. The learned counsel further submitted that since this Court has already quashed the departmental enquiry initiated against the petitioner, there is no impediment in issuing a direction to the authorities to release the retiral and pensionary benefits due payable to the petitioner as prayed for in prayer No. 3 of the present writ petition. The learned counsel, accordingly, prays that the present writ petition may be disposed of by issuing a direction to the respondents to release the retiral and pensionary benefits due payable to the petitioner as early as possible, preferably within a stipulated period. Mr. Th. Taking into consideration the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court is of the considered view that it will serve the ends of justice to dispose of the present writ petition by issuing the following directions:- (i) The respondents are hereby directed to expedite the process and to release the pensionary and other reitral benefits due payable to the petitioner as early as possible; (ii) It is made clear that the whole process should be completed within a period of 3(three) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order; and (iii) The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the authorities in terms of furnishing any required information or documents relating to payment of her pension and retiral benefits. With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of. JUDGE Indrajeet
