the State on the ground that the purchase made by the petitioner contravened Section 79A and B of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961.
3. In the light of the fact that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the Land Reforms Act was amended and Section 79A and B were omitted and the amendment also declared that all proceedings would stand abated, it is obvious that the prayers made in the Writ Petition i.e., to set aside the order passed by the KAT cannot be maintained. This Writ Petition is, therefore, allowed and the proceedings initiated against the petitioner shall stand abated.
4. In view of the disposal of the petition, all pending interlocutory applications, if any, stand disposed of.
