HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW WRIT - C No. - 10940 of 2025 Court No. - 3 HON'BLE SHEKHAR B. SARAF, J. HON'BLE MANJIVE SHUKLA, J. 1. Heard Sri Harsh Pratap Singh, Advocate holding brief of Sri Ajeet Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State. 2. This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, wherein the writ petitioner has sought for the following substantial relief:- "i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus to direct the opposite parties to allow the petitioner to open/run the shop situated at Ward No.7, Mohalla Lalpeer, Kasba Gopamau, Police Station Tadiyawan, District Hardoi which was closed by the opposite party no.4 since 11.02.2025." 3. Upon hearing learned counsel appearing on behalf of both the parties, it appears that proper investigation was not carried out before shutting the operation of the shop run by the petitioner. We are of the view that the petitioner's shop could not have been shut without a proper inquiry having been conducted by the police authorities. 4. In light of the same, the police authorities are directed to allow the petitioner to run his shop till the validity of the license. 5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
