Neog, learned Standing Counsel, Irrigation Department. The petitioner is aggrieved by non consideration of his claims for compassionate appointment. The petitioner claims that his father was serving as a Senior Assistant under the Executive Engineer, Hailakandi Division (Irrigation) in the district of Hailakandi who died in harness in the year 2010, at that time the age of the petitioner was 10 years. At present, pursuant to the Executive Order dated 30.08.2025 read with the Notice dated 30.08.2025 issued pursuant to the O.M. dated 18.09.2024, the petitioner had submitted the particulars by his application dated 15.09.2025. These particulars however, were submitted during the pendency of the writ petition. Since the petitioner had already Page No.# 3/3 submitted the particulars in pursuance to the notice dated 30.08.2025, the authorities will consider the claims of the petitioner if found eligible in terms of the executive order dated 30.08.2025 read with the O.M. dated 18.09.2024 and if the petitioner is found eligible then his case be considered in terms of the provisions of law.
