Yarraguntla.Koteswara Rao,Standing Counsel For Zilla Praja Parishads,Mandal Praja Parishads and Gra The Court made the following: ORDER Heard Sri V.Sai Kiran, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri P.Rajesh Kumar, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, for the respondents 1 to 3 & 5 and Sri Chaitanya, learned counsel representing Sri Y.Koteswara Rao, learned standing counsel for the respondents 4 & 6. 2. The petitioners, 16 in number, members of the Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC), Bhimadolu Mandal, Eluru District, filed the above writ petition to declare the action of the 4th respondent in not paying the Honourorium, as illegal and arbitrary. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners were elected as MPTC on 19.09.2021 for a period of 5years at Bhimadole Mandal, Eluru District. The 4th respondent failed to release the Honourorium and in fact, the 4th respondent issued an endorsement dated 08.09.2025 (Ex.P1) intimating that the petitioners are entitled for honourorium from 01.06.2023, however, the amount was not paid till date. 4. Sri Chaitanya, learned counsel representing Sri Y.Koteswara Rao, learned standing counsel for the respondents 4 & 6, on instructions, did not dispute the petitioners’ entitlement to Honourorium. He also did not dispute regarding non-payment of Honourorium from 01.06.2023. He would submit that the 4th respondent will pay the Honourorium as per the entitlement of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible. 5. Thus, as seen from the averments in the writ affidavit coupled with the instructions of the respondents 4 & 6, there is no dispute regarding the petitioners’ entitlement to Honourorium from 01.06.2023, being the members of MPTC, Bhimadole Mandal, Eluru District. 6. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of at admission stage with the consent of learned counsel on either side, directing the 4th respondent to pay the Honourorium payable to the petitioners, as per their entitlements, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
