2025:HHC:19675 IN THE HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA CWP No.10147 of 2025 Date of Decision: 25.06.2025 _______________________________________________________ Dixhant Singh Chauhan …….Petitioner Versus Union of India and Others ….Respondents _______________________________________________________ Coram: Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma, Judge. Whether approved for reporting? 1 For the Petitioner: Mr. Vinod Chauhan, Advocate. For the Respondents: Mr. Balram Sharma, Deputy Solicitor General of India. ____________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge (oral): Precisely, the grouse of the petitioner, as has been highlighted in the petition and further canvassed by Mr. Vinod Chauhan, learned counsel representing the petitioner is that though petitioner herein was selected as Constable G.D. (General Duty) in respondent- CISF in the year 2024, but till date, he has not been offered appointment letter for the reason that signatures and handwriting of the petitioner has been sent to CFSL, Chandigarh, for verification. 2. More than eight months have passed after selection of the petitioner, but on account of verification, which is to be done by CFSL, Chandigarh and CFPB, he is being denied appointment letter, as a result thereof, petitioner is in utter state of confusion. 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2025:HHC:19675 2 3. While putting in appearance on behalf of respondents, Mr. Balram Sharma, learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, fairly states that final action in the matter, if not already taken, shall be taken expeditiously, preferably, within a period of four weeks. 4. Consequently, in view of aforesaid fair stand adopted by learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, there appears to be no justification for this Court to keep the present petition alive and accordingly the same is disposed of, with the direction to respondents to ensure that report, if not already received from the CFSL, Chandigarh and CFPB, is called for, expeditiously, preferably, within a period of two weeks and thereafter, if documents of the petitioner are verified, appointment letter shall be issued, within a period of two weeks. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. p` (Sandeep Sharma), Judge June 25, 2025 (Rajeev Raturi)
