Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Additional Government Advocate for respondents no.1 to 3, and Ms. Pratistha Pandey holding brief of Sri Avinash Pandey, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.4. 2. Instant petition has been filed praying for quashing of the first information report bearing no.0016 of 2025, under Sections 323/377/506/498-A IPC & Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, lodged at Police Station Qaiserbagh, District Lucknow. Further prayer is for a mandamus commanding the respondents not to arrest the petitioners in pursuance to the aforesaid FIR. 3. Upon filing of the petition, it was contended that there is every likelihood between the petitioners and respondent no.4 of settling the dispute amicably in case the matter is referred to the Mediation Center of this Court. 4. This Court vide order dated 11.03.2025 had referred the matter to the Mediation Center of this Court. 5. In pursuance to the order of this Court dated 11.03.2025 the Mediation Center of this Court has submitted its report dated 29.08.2025 enclosing Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Mohd Jishan, Nikhil Dixit Counsel for Respondent(s) : G.A., Abhishek Dwivedi, Avinash Pandey, Paritosh Shukla, Shubham Srivastava Mohammad Israr And Others .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Home Deptt. And Others .....Respondent(s) therewith the settlement agreement dated 27.08.2025. 6. As per the said report, the petitioners and respondent no.4 have agreed to end the dispute between themselves amicably. 7. Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is allowed. The FIR bearing no.0016 of 2025, under Sections 323/377/506/498-A IPC & Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, lodged at Police Station Qaiserbagh, District Lucknow, is quashed.
