According to the petitioner, he was given contract for supply of water coolers by Nagar Palika Parishad, Nainital. According to him, he supplied water coolers and installed them at specified places; however payment due for such supply has not been released. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: “Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No. 4 to forthwith release the full payment due to the petitioner against the Invoice dated 06.11.2023 amounting to Rs. 31,04,000.20, pertaining to the supply and installation of 16 water purifiers/water coolers under Contract No. GEMC-511687713326826 along with an interest of 18% per annum.” 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has made representation and the competent authority may be directed to take decision thereupon. 4.
