Also heard Mr. N. Chetia, learned counsel appearing for the respondent. By filing this petition, the petitioner claims that an outstanding amount of Rs.21,58,836/- is due to the petitioner and has prayed for a direction to release the same. Mr. N. Chetia, learned counsel for the respondent has produced a letter dated 15.05.2025 of the Superintendent of Police, Kamrup, Amingaon and submits that the respondents have paid an amount of Rs.16,82,128/- to the petitioner being an admitted amount to which, Ms. B. Gogoi, learned counsel for the petitoner prays for disposal of the writ petition. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner prays that she may be granted liberty to avail appropriate remedy under the law to the disputed balance amount, if any.
