CWP No. 8162/2021 With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage. 2. The writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive relief: - “That writ of mandamus may kindly be issued directing the respondents to reguarlize the services of the petitioner w.e.f. 01.01.2004 instead of 10.10.2007, as per 8 years regularization 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 policy (Annexure P-3) framed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh in the year 2000, with all consequential benefits such as; arrears of pay for 3 years & 9 months, pay fixation, seniority and other allied service benefits.” 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the stand taken by the respondents in their reply, the petitioner would be satisfied, in case, the respondents are directed to consider his case for conferment of work charge status, in accordance with law laid down in State of H.P. & Ors. Vs. Surajmani & Ors.2 within a time bound schedule. Learned Additional Advocate General has no objection to this prayer. 4. Having regard to above submissions but without examining the merits of the matter, this petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider and decide the case of the petitioner in light of the aforesaid judgment and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The decision so arrived at, shall be communicated to the petitioners. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also to stand disposed of.
