Petitioner’s mother was employed as safai karmi in Cantonment Board, Ranikhet, who passed away while in service. 5. Petitioner has applied for compassionate appointment. Since, his request has not been considered, therefore, petitioner has approached this Court. 6. Mr. Sanjay Bhatt, learned counsel appearing for Cantonment Board submits that decision on petitioner’s application, if already not taken, shall be taken within eight weeks. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the Chief Education Officer, Ranikhet to take decision on petitioner’s application, within eight weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
