Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that when the petitioner was eight years old (minor), father of the petitioner died and after attaining the age of major on 18/06/2020, the petitioner immediately submitted an application before the respondent/District Education Officer on 15/07/2020 for grant of compassionate appointment under the policy of the State Government. Though the application has been filed by the petitioner on 15/07/2020 and again submitted an application for reminder on 24/03/2025, but till date, the respondents have not considered the application submitted by the petitioner. 3. Learned counsel for the State/respondents submits that if the application of the petitioner is still pending before the respondents authorities, the same shall be considered in accordance with law as well as the policy of the State Government and a decision will be taken within a stipulated period. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the pleadings and documents. 5. It appears that the application of the petitioner has been submitted in accordance with the policy of the State Government, the same is still pending before the respondent authorities, hence, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3/District Education Officer to consider and decide the application filed by the petitioner within a period of 45 days from 3 / 3 the receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is at liberty to apprise the respondent No.3/DEO about the order of this Court. 6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
