Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents. 2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent no.2 to decide petitioner's application for grant of firearm licence. 3. Grievance of the petitioner is that even after expiry of sufficient period, petitioner's application for grant of firearm licence dated 20.01.2024 under rule 25 of the Arms Rules, 2016 as legal heir of original licencee, has not been considered so far. 4. Learned Standing Counsel states that in case petitioner's application has not been considered so far, the same shall be decided by the competent authority, in accordance with law. 5. In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2 to decide petitioner's aforementioned application for grant of firearm licence, by passing appropriate order, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order. 6.
