Yes. 2 2. Petitioners are the retired employees of the respondent-H.P. Public Works Department and have prayed for direction to the respondents to grant them work charge status from the date they completed eight years of service with all incidental benefits. 3. Learned counsel for the parties have jointly submitted that the issue involved in the writ petitions and the reliefs prayed for by the petitioners are now covered by the decision rendered by the Hon’ble Apex Court in The State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. Versus Surajmani & Anr.2. The respondent-Department was also the appellant before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in some of the connected matters. Learned counsel for the parties also submit that these writ petitions be disposed of in terms of the directions issued in the aforesaid decision. 4. In view of the stand taken by learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the aforesaid judgment, these writ petitions are disposed of with direction to the respondents/competent authority to consider the respective cases of the petitioners in accordance with law laid down in Surajmani2 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within six weeks from today. Copy of 2 Civil Appeal No.1595 of 2025, decided alongwith connected civil appeals on 06.02.2025 3 the orders so passed, be also communicated to the petitioners.
