By this petition under Section 483 BNSS, the accused-petitioner, namely Jahidul Islam, has prayed for grant of bail in connection with Tarabari PS Case No. 35/2025 under Sections 305(a)/331(4) BNS added Section 317(2)/238 of BNS. 3. The allegation against the accused petitioner is that he is the receiver of the stolen property i.e. jewellery. 4. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the accused was a worker in jewellery shop and purchased the said jewellery from the co-accused person without knowing them to be stolen property. 5. On the other hand, Mr. Baishya, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that as per the case diary the said accused had received the stolen property having full knowledge that the same were stolen property. 6. Upon perusing the case diary and considering the gravity of offence as well as the incriminating materials in the case diary, prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. 7.
