GP FOR MINES AND GEOLOGY The Court made the following: ORDER:- Heard Sri K.V.Bhanu Prasad, learned Senior Counsel representing Sri Medapati Santosh Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Sudeepthi Potluri, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology. 2. It is stated that the petitioner has made an application in 2017 for grant of quarry lease. However, the same was not processed. In 2021, the petitioner’s application for grant of mining lease, was rejected. Questioning the same, the petitioner filed a writ petition in W.P.No.5720 of 2021, wherein 2 this Court granted interim order of status-quo on 09.03.2021. It is stated that the said writ petition was dismissed for default for non-prosecution and the petitioner has filed an application seeking restoration of the writ petition which was dismissed for default. It is stated that the petitioner has also sent a representation dated 15.04.2025 to the respondents in the said regard. It is contended that during the pendency of the said applications, the respondents have proposed to grant lease in respect of the subject land in favour of the third parties. Thus, the petitioner approached this Court by way of instant writ petition. 3. Today, W.P.No.5720 of 2021 has been restored. In view of the same, the issue raised in the writ petition would not survive. 4. Sri K.V.Bhanu Prasad, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of the Court to withdraw the writ petition. 5. In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. There shall be no order as to costs.
