(2) Petitioner was promoted as Nayab Tehsildar vide order dated 12.11.2025, passed by Board of Revenue, Uttarakhand and he was posted in District Almora, where he joined on 13.11.2025. Petitioner contends that due to family problems and also impending superannuation, he be transferred to Bageshwar. (3) Petitioner’s superannuation is due in the month of April, 2026. Thus he has little more than four months to serve. (4) Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner subm its that as per government policy, anyone who is retiring within two years is entitled to give option for a place of his choice and it is incumbent upon the State Government to respect the wish expressed by a retiring employee. (5) Learned State Counsel submits that if petitioner has any grievance regarding his place of posting, then he can make representation. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has already made representation on 13.11.2025 and the competent authority be directed to take decision thereupon. (6) Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 1 to take decision on petitioner’s 2025:UHC:11386 representation, as per law, within two weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
