Zomuanpuii, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. S. Bora, learned Standing Counsel for the GMC and Ms. R.M. Baruah, learned Standing Counsel for the Finance Department. This I.A. has been filed seeking impleadment of the present incumbent in Page No.# 2/2 the Office of the Commissioner, GMC who has been arrayed as an opposite party. The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the directions contained in the order dated 01.11.2022 passed in WP(C)/5986/2022 have not been complied with. Therefore, in addition to the respondents in the contempt petition, the present opposite party, namely Smt. Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya, I.A.S., is also required to be arrayed as a party respondent, as she has now assumed the office of the Commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Panbazar, Guwahati. The prayer made is not objected to by the learned counsels representing the respondents. Accordingly, having considered the submissions made, the interlocutory application is allowed at this stage without issuance of notice. The opposite party, Ms. R.M. Baruah, is hereby arrayed as party respondent No. 4 in Cont.Cas(C)/358/2023. The petitioner shall file an amended cause title in the Registry within one week from today.
