Also heard Mr. M.P. Goswami, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor. This is an application under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Page No.# 2/2 Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 praying for granting bail to the accused/petitioners namely Mr. Ashikur Rahman and Mr. Elias Ahmed, in connection with Jorhat P.S. Case No. 319/2025. The petitioner was arrested and thereafter produced before the learned CJM, Jorhat on 25.06.2025 and has completed the statutory period of detention i.e. 60 days in connection with the offence alleged and as such the petitioner is entitled to default bail as the charge- sheet is yet to be filed. Accordingly, the accused/petitioners, Mr. Ashikur Rahman and Mr. Elias Ahmed, in connection with the aforementioned Police Station case be released on bail, on a bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- with two local sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Jorhat. It is further provided that the accused shall not attempt to influence the witnesses and cooperate in the investigation. Bail Application accordingly stands disposed off. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
