HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW WRIT - A No. - 14508 of 2025 Court No. - 7 HON'BLE MANISH MATHUR, J. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State counsel for opposite parties. Petition has been filed seeking following prayers:- " i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties, particularly opposite party number 2 to include the name of the petitioner in the seniority list of Revenue Inspectors issued on 28.03.2022 by extending the ratio and benefit of the cases of Pratap Narain Pandey Vs. State of U.P. and others passed in Writ Petition No. 4031 (S/S) of 2001 as well as order dated 06.09.2024, passed in Special Appeal No. 191 of 2024 (State of U.P. and others Vs. Jag Prasad Chaubey); ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to ensure that the name of the petitioner is included in the seniority list of Revenue Inspector by the opposite parties issued on 28.03.2022; iii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding opposite parties to ensure that the promotion of the petitioner on the post of Revenue Inspector be made and treated w.e.f. 28.03.2022 instead of 06.05.2025;" Learned counsel for petitioner at the very outset submits that inadvertently final seniority list dated 28th March, 2022 could not be challenged and seeks liberty to challenge the same. In view thereof, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn granting liberty to file afresh.
