Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-State, would submit that there is a stay in this 3 matter. The petitioner herein is A1. The alleged offences are under Sections 417 and 376 r/w 34 IPC and under Sections 3(2)(v), 3(2)(va) and 3(1)(r) of SC & ST (POA) Act. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor would submit that petition may be disposed of giving liberty to the Investigating Agency to conclude the investigation. 3. In that view, this Criminal Petition is disposed of without causing any prejudice to the rights and contentions of the petitioner. This Court makes it clear that this Court has not expressed anything touching the merits of the case. However, the police are directed to conclude the investigation and file a report according to law. Further, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge if anything goes against him, if so advised.
