PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A-4, seeking to enlarge him on bail, in connection with Crime No.62 of 2025 of Narsipatnam Town Police Station., now Anakapalli District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 20 (b) (ii) (C), 25 r/w.8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 2 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 22.03.2025, on receipt of credible information about illegal possession and transportation of Ganja, the Sub-Inspector of Narsipatnam Town Police Station, along with mediators proceeded to APR school, Peddaboddepalli Village and began conducting vehicle checks. While so, the police noticed one Auto coming from Peddaboddepalli side and on seeing the police, the driver halted the auto at some distance and two of the five occupants fled from the scene. The Sub-Inspector of Police along with his staff apprehended all the Accused. During the investigation, the Accused Nos.2 to 4 disclosed their identities and basing on their confessional statements, 100 Kg of dry Ganja was seized under the mediators report. Thereafter, a case in Crime No.62 of 2025 of Narsipatnam Town Police Station., now Anakapalli District has been registered against all the accused. 4. There is no representation for the petitioner. On earlier occasion also, there was no representation for the petitioner. 5. This Court perused the record. 6. As seen from the record, a case in Crime No.62 of 2025 of Narsipatnam Town Police Station has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences punishable under sections 20 (b) (ii) (C) ,25 r/w.8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The petitioner herein was intercepted by the police and 100 Kg of dry Ganja was seized. Thereafter, the petitioner herein was arrested and since then he was on remand. Since 3 the quantity of dry Ganja seized from the petitioner is huge and the investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. 7.
