Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 1 & 2 to seek the consent of the Hon’ble Chief Minister on the approval of the Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for reinstating the petitioner as approved by the Hon’ble Cabinet Minister in its last approval dated 17.08.2022.” (3) Learned State Counsel, however, points out that file is pending in the O/ o Hon’ble the Chief Minister. (4) Direction as sought cannot be granted. This Court cannot issue a writ of mandamus to compel Hon’ble the Chief Minister to grant consent or approval in a matter which involves executive discretion. Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
