[1] Heard Mr. Vikash Sharma, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Ms. M. Nikita, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 1 and Mr. RK Deepak, learned senior counsel assisted by Mrs. I. Bimola, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 2, i.e., MPSC. [2] The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with a prayer for issuing a direction particularly to the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) for allowing the petitioner to update his Mobile Number, E-mail Address and Postal Address and also for payment of Fees of the Manipur Civil Service Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2022 and to allow the petitioner to appear in the said main examination scheduled to be held in the month of September, 2025 in terms of the notifications dated 09.07.2024 and 06.08.2024 issued by the Controller of Examination, Manipur Public Service Commission. comes to know only about such notifications and such requirements very recently. The case of the petitioner is that on humanitarian ground his bonafide mistake may be condoned and the MPSC be directed to allow him to update and also to pay the fees as notified under the aforesaid 2 (two) notifications as soon as possible. [4] Mr. RK Deepak, learned senior counsel appearing for the MPSC fairly submitted that he has received instructions from the authorities of the MPSC that as and when this Court pass an appropriate order in the present writ petition, there will be no difficulty on the part of the officials of the MPSC to allow the petitioner to update his Mobile Number, E-mail Address and also Postal Address and also for payment of the Fees as notified under the aforesaid 2 notifications dated 09.07.2024 and 06.08.2024.
[5] Taking into consideration, the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the record, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to issue the following direction:- (1) The Secretary, MPSC is hereby directed to allow the petitioner to update his Mobile Number, E-mail Address, Postal Address and also the payment of necessary fees as notified in the aforesaid 2 (two) notifications as early as possible.
