The issue raised in the present writ petition is a stale issue relating to a matter wherein banker cheque was issued by the bank for a total sum of Rs.60,000/- in the year 2008. 3. The petitioner now wishes to re-agitate this issue after a substantial and inordinate delay of 18 years. No proper explanation has been provided for the delay and keeping the principles of limitation in mind, we are of the view that the discretionary jurisdiction of the High Court should not be exercised in the present matter as the petitioner has sat over his rights, if any, for far too long. 4. In light of the same, the writ petition is dismissed.
