(2) Petitioner served as Permanent Seasonal Clerk in Cooperative Cane Development Union, Sitarganj, District Udham Singh Nagar between 1986 to September 2024. According to him, after retirement, he is entitled to gratuity, leave encashment, provident fund and other benefits, however those benefits have not been paid to him so far. Thus feeling aggrieved, petitioner has approached this Court. (3) Mr. Manav Sharma, learned Counsel appearing for the employer, submits that Cooperative Cane Development Union is reeling under financial crisis, therefore retiral dues of the petitioner could not be released so far. He submits that since crushing season has commenced, therefore, pending dues of the petitioner would be released within six months. (4) Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to Secretary of the concerned Union to ensure that all outstanding dues of the petitioner be released within six months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
