NARENDRA PRASAD ORAL ORDER In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought for the following reliefs: “(a) Issue writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ or order quashing paragraph 2 of the Board Order bearing No.KPTCL/B16/B58/3414/04-05, BANGALORE dated 22.11.2007 passed by the 3rd Respondent (Annexure-C) as the same is arbitrary, illegal, unconstitutional and contrary to the provisions of R & P Regulations; - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:20536 WP No. 54871 of 2015 (b) Issue writ of mandamus or appropriate order or direction directing the respondents to integrate the seniority list of Assistant Executive Engineers (ele) (Graduates) and Assistant Executive Engineers(ele) (non-graduates) and publish a common seniority list of the cadre of Assistant Executive Engineers (ele) as per the date of entry to the said cadre specifically indicating the qualification of the respective employee, with a further direction to effect promotion to the post of Executive Engineer on the basis of such re-drawn common seniority list, in the interest of justice and equity; and (c) Issue a writ of mandamus or appropriate order or direction directing the respondents to reckon the seniority of the petitioner in the cadre of Assistant Executive Engineers (ele) from the date of his entry into the said cadre with a further direction to promote him to the post of Executive Engineer from the date on which he became eligible and qualified with reference to the date of his entry into the cadre of AEE (Ele), in terms of R & P Regulations. (d) To issue such other writ, order or direction as this Hon’ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.” - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:20536 WP No. 54871 of 2015 2. Learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2 submits that now the petitioner has already been placed as incharge Executive Engineer (Electrical). Therefore, the relief sought for by the petitioner does not survive for consideration and the present petition may be dismissed as having become infructuous. 3. Submission is placed on record. 4.
