Sarmah, learned counsel for the petitioner. Claim to be aggrieved by non-payment of an outstanding bill amount of Rs. 4,77,648/- in respect of the work titled “CAD Works to cover an area of 13444 Ha. of Canals D1, D2 & D3 of Bordikarai Irrigation Scheme (Ph-V) under CADWM programme for the year 2016-17. Construction of WC/FC & appurtenant structures at Ch. 450M (R/S) of D1M3 Canal and Ch. 380M (L/S) of D1M2 Canal. (WC from Ch. 0.00M to 35.00M at Ch. 450M (R/S) of D1M3 Canal)”, executed under the Department of Irrigation, Government of Assam, this writ petition is filed. Having considered that the petitioner has failed to show that he has approached the concerned authority for payment of the aforesaid outstanding bill amount, this Court on 20.08.2025 has granted time to the petitioner to bring on record the representation, if any, submitted before the authority prior to filing of this writ petition. However, today, Dr. Sarmah, learned counsel, fairly submits that no such representation was filed by the petitioner and therefore, prays that the petitioner may be allowed to approach the authority by filing a representation. Considering above, writ petition stands disposed of with a liberty to the Page No.# 3/3 petitioner to approach the competent authority by filing representation for redressal of his grievance within a period of 15 (fifteen) days from today. Needless to observe that if such representation is filed within the time stipulated, the respondent authorities in the Department of Irrigation, Government of Assam shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law.
