The writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not implementing the Government Orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.212, Home (Legal-II) Department, dated 06.09.2013, in the light of the judgment of this Hon’ble Court in W.P.No.21172 of 2014 and batch, dated 22.01.2015, which was subsequently confirmed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in S.L.P.Nos.7325 and 7326 of 2015, vide order dated 23.03.2018. The petitioner further relies upon the subsequent judgments of this Court in W.P.No.31327 of 2014, dated 21.01.2025, and W.P.No.14443 of 2020, dated 03.08.2022, as well as Circular Memo No.20871/Legal.II/A2/2014, dated 04.11.2015, issued for implementation of the aforesaid Government Order for granting notional seniority, promotions, and consequential benefits with effect from 01.01.2014. The petitioner challenges the rejection orders issued by the Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam, vide (1) L.Dis.No.306/A1/2020-1, dated 27.02.2020, (2) L.Dis.No.1097/A1/2021, dated 16.11.2022, (3) L.Dis.No.328/A1/2022-1, dated 19.12.2022, and (4) L.Dis.No.1210/A1/2024, dated 04.10.2024, as being illegal and arbitrary. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents. 3. During the course of hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, in identical circumstances, this Court has disposed of W.P.No.3561 of 2026, vide order dated 09.02.2026, and requested that the present writ petition may also be disposed of in similar terms. 4. Considering the submissions made, this Court is of the opinion that, without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition can be disposed of at the stage of admission, with the consent of both the learned counsel. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner, keeping in view the order dated 23.03.2018 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in S.L.P.Nos.7325 and 7326 of 2015, confirming the judgment in W.P.No.21172 of 2014 and batch, dated 22.01.2015, as well as Circular Memo No.20871/Legal.II/A2/2014, dated 04.11.2015, and to pass appropriate orders regarding the promotion of the petitioner, in accordance with his seniority and entitlement, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
