1. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking the following reliefs:
“10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the entire records from the respondents. 10.2 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent authority to issue Caste Certificate to the Petitioner. 10.3 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondents by issuing the writ in the nature of mandamus to provide a permanent caste certificate of Schedule Caste to the petitioner on prescribed period granted under C.G. Lok Sewa Guarantee Act, 2011. 10.4 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief or pass such other and further orders as may be deemed fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case in the interest of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that an application for grant of a social status certificate was moved by the petitioner before a Competent Authority on 28.10.2020 and the same has not been decided till date. She would contend that the petitioner belongs to the Mahar caste and has submitted all the necessary documents before the Competent Authority. Therefore, a direction may be issued to the said authority to decide the application expeditiously.
3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State would oppose the
submissions made by counsel for the petitioner.

5. Considering the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the Competent Authority/ respondent No.2 to decide the pending application of the petitioner
3 for grant of social status certificate expeditiously, if the same has not already been decided.
6. With the aforesaid observation(s), this petition is disposed of at admission stage. Sd/-
