Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner after arguing at some length states that as it is only a notice dated 01.07.2024 as issued by the respondent No.2 under Section 3 of the U.P. Control of Goondas Act which has been challenged as such he intends to file reply to the same and prays that the competent authority be directed to consider and decide the reply in accordance with law under relevant rules by means of a reasoned and speaking order. To the aforesaid prayer, learned A.G.A. has no objection. Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of leaving it open to the petitioner to submit reply to the notice dated 01.07.2024 before the competent authority within a period of a week along with a certified copy of this order. In case the reply is submitted, the competent authority shall proceed to consider the said reply in accordance with law under relevant rules and pass a reasoned and speaking order within a period of four weeks from the date of submission of the reply. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim set forth by the petitioner.
