Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are reporters of a media channel and have covered the news relating to illegal feeding and growing of fish (cat fish) which is 2 restricted by the government, as the same would cause serious ecological imbalance. The business activity of respondent No.5 relating to cultivating of cat fish was covered by the petitioners. Respondent No.4 at the behest of respondent No.5 without registering any crime, seized the car bearing registration No.AP 39 MA 2313 belongs to the petitioners. It is submitted that neither the car nor the petitioners committed any crime and hence, a direction may be given to respondent No.4 to release the petitioners’ car bearing registration No.AP 39 MA 2313. 3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, respondent No.4 is directed to release the petitioners’ vehicle bearing registration No.AP 39 MA 2313, on furnishing a copy of Reiteration Certificate (RC) by the petitioners, by following due process of law. 4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
