Heard Sri Chandra Shekhar Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri Anand Bhaskar Srivastava, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents and Sri Bhupendra Kumar Tripathi, learned counsel appearing fo the Gram Sabha. Present petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent No.2-Commissioner, Varanasi Mandal, District Varanasi, to decide Revision No.01379 of 2020 (Surjeet Kumar and others vs. Ramesh Kumar and others) under Section 219 of the U P Land Revenue Act, 1901, expeditiously and within a stipulated time period. Counsel for the petitioners has referred to the 'order sheet' of the case, a copy whereof has been appended to the writ petition to point out that although several dates have been fixed but for some reason or the other, matter has been adjourned. The delay in disposal of the case is stated to be causing hardship to the petitioners. Accordingly, a prayer is made for a direction to respondent No.2, to conclude the proceedings at an early date. Counsel appearing for the State-respondents has no objection to the said prayer. Having regard to the aforesaid, the present petition is disposed of with an observation that the respondent No.2-Commissioner, Varanasi Mandal, Varanasi, would make an endeavor to conclude the proceedings of the case, which is stated to be pending before it, preferably within a period of six months, without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties, provided there is no other legal impediment.
