Heard Sri Om Prakash Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent nos.1 and 2. 2. The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent no.2- Assistant Labour Commissioner, Shahjahanpur to decide Complaint Case No.35 of 2024 for payment of arrears of salary and gratuity. 3. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner was working in Kisan Sahkari Chini Mill, Tilhar, Shahjahanpur, from where he retired, pursuant to which certain arrears of salary and payment of gratuity is due to him. 4. As the petitioner is a retired employee of Sugar Mill, it is desirable that his claim should be decided at the earliest to avoid hardship to him. 5. In view of the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent no.2 to decide the petitioner's pending case, as noticed above, pending before him, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of one year from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
