Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 2. Present petition has been filed with prayer to direct the respondent No. 2 to issue a character certificate in favour of petitioner and further, to decide the application dated 26.06.2024. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that for redressal of his grievance, petitioner has filed application dated 26.06.2024 which is pending since long and till date the same has not been decided, therefore, direction may be issued to respondent No. 2 to decide the aforesaid application within a stipulated time. 4. Learned Standing Counsel submitted that application of petitioner shall be considered and decided at the earliest. 5. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner dated 26.06.2024 in accordance with law maximum within period of four weeks from the date of submission of certified copy of this order. 6. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merits. It is upon respondent No. 2 to pass order after considering the relevant Rules as well as facts of the case.
