Heard Sri Punya Sheel Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the petitioner. 2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent no.2 to decide Case No.386 of 2021 pending before him under Section 17(3) of the Arms Act. 3. It is contended by the counsel for the petitioner that firearm licence of the petitioner was cancelled by the order dated 28.07.2022, against which, he had filed an appeal which was allowed on 24.09.2023 remanding the matter to the respondent no.2. Grievance is that Case No.386 of 2021 before respondent no.2 is pending pursuant to the remand order of the Commissioner, Aligarh Division, Aligarh, dated 24.09.2023 and no order has been passed till date. 4. Learned Standing Counsel submits that if no order has been passed by the respondent no.2, appropriate order will be passed by him, in accordance with law, expeditiously. 5. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to decide the pending Case No.386 of 2021 relating to grant of firearm licence to the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
