Heard Mr. G. Alam, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D.P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner reiterated his prayer for making
Page No.# 2/2 interim bail which was granted mainly on the ground of illness of the petitioner, being a cancer patient.
3. Mr. D.P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State submits on the basis of the case diary received that investigation is not yet complete. The suspected cow meat has been sent for chemical examination and investigation has revealed that the present accused is the owner of the said hotel, which has been indulging in such activity violative of the Cattle Preservation Act for quite sometimes. However, in the circumstances considering the progress of investigation, also keeping in mind the medical condition of the accused, I do not find it necessary to cancel the interim bail. Accordingly, the interim bail granted to the accused vide order dated 07.08.2025 is hereby made absolute subject to conditions – (I) That the petitioner shall cooperate with the remaining investigation; (II) That the petitioner shall not in any manner try to influence to any witness or otherwise hamper or tamper with the evidence; and (III) That the petitioner shall not indulge in any activity violative of Assam Cattle Preservation Act.
4. The bail petition stands allowed and disposed of accordingly.
