The Court made the following: :: ORDER :: The above contempt case is filed complaining of a violation of the order dated 20.01.2025 in W.P.No.818 of 2025. 2. The petitioner in W.P.No.818 of 2025 filed writ petition to declare the action of respondent No.2 in depriving him of seniority in promoting to the post of Deputy Executive Engineer (DEE) for the panel year 2024-25 by publishing proceedings No.E4/2288/FSL/Z3/2024-25, dated 06.01.2025, as illegal and arbitrary. 3. Challenging the aforementioned proceedings, another employee filed W.P.No.820 of 2025, wherein this Court, by order dated 20.01.2025, granted an interim order, which is extracted hereunder: “Given the facts and circumstances, the 2nd respondent shall not affect any promotions, in pursuance of Ex.P.1 dated 06.01.2025 for a period of three (03) weeks. However, this order will not preclude the 2nd respondent to consider the objections raised by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with the Rules.” 4. When W.P.No.818 of 2025 was listed on 20.01.2025, it was directed to be listed along with W.P.No.820 of 2025, given the interim order referred to supra. 5. Since the authority effected promotion to the post of Deputy Executive Engineer vide proceedings No.E4(2)/32045/2025, dated 22.01.2025, despite the order passed in W.P.No.820 of 2025, the petitioner, being similarly affected by the proceedings impugned in W.P.No.820 of 2025, which is also subject matter of W.P.No.818 of 2025, filed the above contempt case. 6. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the order dated 20.01.2025 in W.P.No.820 of 2025, which is the subject matter in W.P.No.818 of 2025, has been complied with and hence, no further adjudication is required in the contempt case. 7. Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Contempt Case is closed. No order as to costs.
