JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA O R D E R 29-08-2025 These matters are listed for referral to the Special Mediation Drive- ‘Mediation for the Nation’ as directed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. Present Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned Government Advocate for the State respondent. Mr. Y. Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. L. Raju, learned counsel for the IMC, submits that the prayer of the writ petitioner is to continue as parking agents for public parking slots (1) Chongtham Crematorium to Kashturi Bridge (excluding the adjoining slab covered by portion of Naga Nullah) and (2) Chongtham Crematorium to Kashturithong Nagamapal, slab covered portion of Naga Nullah till the completion of the tender process. The parking slot allotted to the petitioner was cancelled by the impugned order. However, in pursuance of the order dated 23-09-2024 passed by this Court and in terms of the resolution No. 6 dated 17-01-2025 WP(C) No. 663 of 2024 & MC(WP(C)) No. 554 of 2024 of the IMC, the petitioner’s term is permitted to continue to manage the parking slot only, Chongtham Crematorium to Kashturi Bridge along with the slab covered portion of Naga Nullah w.e.f. 17-03-2025 till the tender process is completed. In this regard, the IMC, Municipal Commissioner issued an order dated 10-03-2025. Mr. Y. Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that the prayer in the writ petition has been fully complied by the order dated 10-03-2025 and the writ petition may be closed. This Court has perused the prayer and the order dated 23-09-2024 passed by this Court and the order dated 10-03-2025 issued by the IMC and satisfied that the prayer of the petitioner has been complied by the subsequent order dated 10-03-2025, a copy of which is taken on record. In the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. MC(WP(C)) No. 554 of 2024 is also closed. Interim order stands merged with the final order.
